1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ChefChef (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

ChefChef is an AI-powered platform that converts YouTube cooking videos into structured, personalized cooking guidelines. The service is available as both a web application and mobile app (iOS/Android) and includes:

• Free Tier: Basic recipe analysis, recipe library access, favorites management
• Premium Subscription: Priority recipe analysis, hands-free voice control with speech recognition, AI-powered recipe Q&A, offline access, ad-free experience, on-screen cooking timer (monthly and annual options available)
• Consumable Credits: One-time purchase credits to unlock premium features for individual recipes
• Platform Support: Web browser, iOS mobile app, Android mobile app
• Multi-language support: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, English
• Recipe Translation: AI-powered translation of recipes to your preferred language
• History Tracking: View history, cooking history (recipes marked as cooked)
• Shopping List Export: Export ingredient lists to device reminders (iOS)
• Comment System: Post comments and photos on recipes
• Rating and Feedback: Rate recipes and provide cooking feedback to help improve the community
• Recipe Sharing: Share recipes with friends via social media and messaging apps
• Bug Reporting: Submit bug reports and feedback to help improve the service
• Referral Program: Earn XP rewards by referring friends
• XP/Level System: Gamification rewards for app engagement
• Semantic Search: AI-powered search for finding relevant recipes

3. User Account and Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your devices (computer, mobile phone, tablet).

• Accounts are authenticated via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. These services are used only to verify your identity and create your account. We do not maintain access to your Google or Apple accounts after registration.
• You must provide accurate registration information
• Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not:

• Submit videos you do not own or have permission to process
• Use the service for commercial purposes without authorization
• Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the AI analysis system
• Submit inappropriate, harmful, or illegal content
• Abuse voice control features or speech recognition services
• Attempt to circumvent premium subscription requirements
• Use automated tools or bots to access the service
• Post spam, harassment, or abusive content in comments
• Upload inappropriate or offensive photos
• Manipulate or abuse the referral program or XP rewards system
• Submit false or misleading bug reports or feedback

5. Content and Intellectual Property

The recipes generated by our AI are derived from publicly available YouTube videos. Users retain rights to their submitted content, and we retain rights to our proprietary AI analysis technology and platform features.

6. Premium Subscription

Premium subscriptions provide access to enhanced features including voice control, AI-powered Q&A, and priority recipe processing.

• Pricing: Current subscription and credit pricing is displayed in the app
• Free Trial: New users may be eligible for a one-time free trial of Premium features
• Trial Limitations: Free trials are limited to one per account and cannot be restarted or extended
• Options: Monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time credit purchases
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed through your app store and automatically renew unless cancelled
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your account settings or app store subscription management
• Refunds: Refunds are handled according to the app store's refund policy (Apple App Store, Google Play Store)
• Feature Access: Premium features are immediately available upon successful subscription and remain active until subscription expires
• Changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

7. Service Limitations

Our service has certain limitations:

• Video Processing: Cannot process live streams; videos over 30 minutes may timeout; some videos may block subtitle extraction
• Processing Times: Free users (~30 minutes), Premium users (~5 minutes)
• Voice Control: Requires Premium subscription; requires microphone permission on device; requires internet connection for speech recognition; accuracy may vary based on language, accent, and background noise
• AI Q&A: Responses are generated by AI and may not always be accurate; users should verify cooking instructions and ingredient safety
• Mobile App: Requires iOS 14+ or Android 8+; some features may not work on older devices; offline access limited to cached recipes only

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. Specifically:

• We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated recipes and recommend users verify cooking instructions and ingredient safety
• Voice recognition and speech-to-text accuracy is not guaranteed and may vary
• AI-powered Q&A responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
• We are not responsible for food allergies, dietary restrictions, or health issues arising from recipe use
• Mobile app performance may vary based on device capabilities and network conditions

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall iRecipe be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
