A super healthy Japanese-style keema curry made with bonito flakes and onions, completely free of meat and oil. It is easy to make in a short time using only a microwave, and it goes surprisingly well with rice.
Finely mince the onion (60g) using a vegetable chopper or similar tool.
In a heat-resistant container, add the minced onion, dried bonito flakes (1 packet), curry powder (1 1/3 teaspoons), ketchup (1 teaspoon), water (1 tablespoon), chicken bouillon powder (2/3 teaspoon), and garlic powder (4 shakes).
Cover the container with a lid (or plastic wrap) and microwave at 500W for 1 minute.
Remove from the microwave and stir everything well with a spoon (add a pinch of salt if desired).
Spread the rice (200g) into a bento box or bowl, create a well in the center, and serve the heated curry on top to finish.
Using bonito flakes instead of meat creates a keema curry rich in umami from the dashi. 💡
Since it uses no oil at all, it is very healthy and easy on the stomach. 🍳
